This beautiful genuine spanish colonial silver cob has TWO CLEAR DATES on both the obverse and the reverse which identify this cob as being minted in 1689, and is an 8 reales as clearly signified by the "8" present on both the obverse and reverse. This piece was minted in Potosi, Bolivia, once a capital of silver mining and colonial cob production in the New World.
It shows the famous pillars of Hercules and waves on the reverse and a Spanish Cross with the royal Castles and Lions on the obverse. Despite being 330 years old, this fantastic cob still shows incredible details, from the lions' eyes and manes to the castles' walls and towers. Don't miss this amazing opportunity! Only THREE have been graded by PCGS, with only 1 finer!
