Nuestra Senora de las Maravillas sank in a storm January 1656 in the shallow waters off The Little Bahamas Bank. The Maravillas carried a tremendous amount of gold and silver and had left Vera Cruz, stopped in Havana and were on their way back to King Phillip IV of Spain.
